about

Based on the beautiful Isle of Wight – but working with partners all over the world – elobeid editorial creates (and perfects) content for diverse readerships.

Emma Elobeid is a writer, editor, and all-round storyteller. She has a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Publishing Media, a Master’s Degree (Distinction) in Journalism, and is an Intermediate member of the Chartered Institute for Editing and Proofreading.

Over the years, she’s managed marketing strategies for world-leading academic journals, built thought leadership content campaigns for app developers and heritage organisations, written about everything from eco-literacy to ethical supply chains, and led a talented freelance team as Editor of the Isle of Wight’s leading lifestyle magazine. Most recently, as Senior Editor at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, she created multi-format narratives that help accelerate the global transition to a circular economy: from podcasts and films that distil big ideas for broad business audiences, to articles that weave together transversal topics, industry reports that bring technical insights to life, and policy briefings that mobilise decision-maker action. In 2023, her climate journalism was recognised by the Association of British Science Writers Awards for its “distinctive and accessible style of conveying complex information.”

She also writes poetry. What started as a fun way of getting through lockdown V1 has blossomed into an emerging creative secondlife. Her work has been published in Dublin-based publications Not4U, the Madrigal, and Martello Journal and she was recently Highly Commended in the Kathryn Bevis Memorial Prize. She is a member of the Isle of Wight Creative Network and the Ventnor Exchange Spoken Word Collective (VEX).
